Basic Word (2 Parts)

This class is designed to introduce you to Microsoft Word, a word processing application. It covers an introduction to the application and how to perform common tasks through the use of menus and tool bars. The class includes a demonstration of the application and its basic features, along with guidance on how to maneuver through the menus and tool bars. Includes step-by-step instructions on sentence and paragraph formatting, setting tabs, creating tables, setting margins, and printing documents. Delve deeper into your love of literature by sharing it with others. The year is 1953 and the setting is the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa in North Dakota. The novel tells the story of a network of people connected to the Turtle Mountain reservation, their fight against termination, and their daily interconnected lives. Bringing the Ocean to Life: Behind the Scenes at McWane

Join us for a DEEP DIVE in a day in the life of McWane Science Center's Aquarist, Nichole Cleveland. Senior Aquarist Nichole Cleveland shares some of the unique challenges of urban aquariums, including maintaining a constant supply of salt water, maintaining a varied living collection of animals, and adapting aquatic habitats to an existing structure. Nichole will also share information about some exciting projects going on behind the scenes in the World of Water, such as graduate research projects on Tilapia and Sharks.
