Take a stroll around the lake or on a shaded path at one of our many community parks. Leave the concrete jungle behind and get moving as these parks feature walking paths surrounded by nature. Bring some bread and feed the ducks by the lake or grab the family and plan a picnic. We also have a few smaller neighborhood parks that are great for play dates & picnics.

 

 

For indoor fitness, Hoover has a state-of-the-art Recreation Center that features an indoor pool, walking track, gym, racquetball courts, and basketball courts. The Rec Center is often host to special fitness and community events, fitness programs, and community classes. The indoor pool is home of the Hoover Hurricanes swim team, our swim team for individuals with disabilities.

 

 

If you're looking for team sports, look no further than our sports parks! Host to Hoover Youth Sports and other team organizations keep the bases loaded. Football, baseball, and soccer are really big in the South, and Hoover teams consistantly compete at the national level. And don't forget about the Regions Park Stadium, home of the Birmingham Barons and host to the SEC Baseball and AVP Volleyball tournaments.

 

 

Seniors will be interested in the NEW SENIOR CENTER! Opened in January 2007, the center boasts a computer lab with internet access, common rooms, a dining hall, and a screened-in porch.
